I volunteer at the VA hospital in
Hampton. I went there earlier this week to drop off some clothing for the
"clothes closet" that they maintain for homeless vets. The volunteer working
there said they were in dire need of men's clothing
as they are serving appx 150 homeless male vets. They have plenty of clothing
for homeless women vets. Please pass the word to your church congregation.
If donors can box the clothing, bring it to my house with donor's name and
address attached, I will take it to the VA hospital in their name. They will
receive a THANK YOU letter from the director of the hospital. Pls include the
estimated value of the clothing as that goes on the
paperwork that I turn in to the hospital.
Clothing should be in good
condition. They could also use some men's work shoes.
