FAMILY DAY IN THE PARK (FDIP) 2011 has been scheduled for August 13, 2011, from 10AM until 2PM.

First FDIP meeting will be held Feb 7 at 6:30PM at THE VILLAGES pool house on Clear Springs Court. Urge maximum attendance. The FDIP does NOT plan itself.

Next LGCL meeting will be March 12 at 10 AM at the Level Green Fellowship Church. Coffee and donuts will be provided. You do NOT have to be a member to attend.

Remember to watch out for your neighbors and report ALL suspicious activity. Call 9-1-1 for crimes in progress, or 385-5000 for non-emergency police reports.

Support Homeless Vets

I volunteer at the VA hospital in Hampton. I went there earlier this week to drop off some clothing for the "clothes closet" that they maintain for homeless vets. The volunteer working there said they were in dire need of men's clothing as they are serving appx 150 homeless male vets. They have plenty of clothing for homeless women vets. Please pass the word to your church congregation. If donors can box the clothing, bring it to my house with donor's name and address attached, I will take it to the VA hospital in their name. They will receive a THANK YOU letter from the director of the hospital. Pls include the estimated value of the clothing as that goes on the paperwork that I turn in to the hospital.

Clothing should be in good condition. They could also use some men's work shoes.

My address is 5875 Percheron Lane. I live across the street from the day care center.

Large Screen TV's being stolen throughout Virginia Beach

Over the past few months Virginia Beach has experienced an increase in

burglaries where large screen TV are being stolen. In some instances the

suspect has been known to ring the door bell and if no one answers, go to

the rear and break a window to enter. If the homeowner answers then the

subject will simply say he is looking for a certain person and walk away.

Remember to watch out for your neighbors and report ALL suspicious activity.

reports.

Litter Pickup Day!!!

Litter pickup on Level Green Boulevard will be this Saturday as we are having a Civic League Yard Sale on the normal litter pickup day. Please be at the basketball court parking lot at 8AM. Recommend you wear gloves. I will provide bags from the city.

Beginning this Saturday, I will be receiving yard sale items which will be stored in my garage until the day of the yard sale, which is 24 April. Please, everything should be working, no broken items. We will need help setting up, so the more the merrier.

All proceeds go into the treasury of the Level Green Civic League. Any unsold items will be given to a non-profit organization unless otherwise requested by the donor.

Yard Sale

Just a reminder that the Level Green Civic League will be holding a yard sale on 24 April in my driveway at 5875 Percheron Lane (across from day care center located on Level Green Blvd and Drew Drive).

I will be accepting items for the yard sale beginning 17 April. Please, clean out your garages, closets, etc, and donate items for the yard sale. Please, no broken items. Everything must me working. Also, please put prices on your donations.

All items not sold at the yard sale will be donated to a local charity unless requested otherwise.

All monies collected will go to the Level Green Civic League.

Litter Pickup

Litter pickup is this coming Saturday 3/27/2010 at 8 AM. Meet at the basketball courts parking lot. I have bags. Recommend you wear gloves. The more people we have, the quicker we will be finished.

Level Green Blvd is the first thing our friends, realtors, buyers, etc, see when they enter the subdivision. It is the entrance to our homes. Take pride.
